This is what I did last month.

I went to Broadway(a local coffee shop) and drew/painted. I have two main methods that I use when I don't really feel like drawing. For drawing from life I do blind contours, these are always at least fun to look at afterward. There isn't the normal pressure with it not looking like person you are drawing, and when it does resemble them everyone around you is mesmerized. The other thing I end up doing when my brain is tired is I spill my coffee. Sometimes I do this on my sketch book. After a while I realized that if I let it dry, I could use the different random shapes as a platform to dive into some pretty interesting character designs. These are two ways I try and keep myself interested drawing. So, go ahead and create some limitations and some problems to solve when you draw. It is a lot more fun!
