Who is it?

Chicken wire, paper-mache, foam, paper-clay, acrylic, felt and gloss medium.
To answer the question posed in my title; it ended up kind of looking like me (sans the exposed brain).

This is what it looked like before the beard, paint, and some other things.

Hit me up on Twitter!

More after the jump...

I really fell in love with PaperClay on this project.  It is so great! PaperClay is an air-drying paper pulp clay that can sanded, tinted with acrylics, carved, molded and probably anything else you can think of. And they aren't even paying me to say it (if you represent PaperClay I would be interested in sponsorship)!

If you have a material that surprises you with how awesome it is, tell me, and give me a link to a picture or video of how you used it.

(wow that's a long blog post.)

  1. Hi Stuart,

Wow, Realy great work! I am certainly sold on the wonders of paperclay now - they should definitely sponsor you ;-)

Thank you for stopping by my blog, I'll be updating it regularly in future, and hopefully have some more finished work as well as doodles on there in the near future :D

  2. This looks awesome Stuart! I have been meaning to try paper clay for awhile now so I'm glad you reviewed it. :)

My favorite new material I think is Tacky Glue Permanent Spray Adhesive. It is Ph neutral, acid free, and archival safe. I have been using it to put together large cut outs wrinkle free. The one draw back is it really is permanent so I have to know where I want something before I spray it.
